Justin Shaw
Justin Shaw is a graduate student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where he studies educational leadership and school improvement. He brings eight years of experience as a public high school English teacher, having taught AP Language and Composition, AP Literature, and concurrent enrollment courses, and served as an English department chair and instructional coach, leading data-informed efforts to improve literacy outcomes.
His work with the BRIDGES Lab focuses on improving adolescent literacy for multilingual learners, particularly through instructional supports that increase access to complex texts and classroom discourse. His broader interests include reading comprehension, student motivation, and translating research into classroom practice.
Outside of his academic work, Justin enjoys coaching basketball and exercising.
