Grace Sanko
Grace Sanko is a Master’s student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she researches K–12 language and literacy interventions with a focus on equitable instruction for multilingual learners and students with diverse needs. She holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in English Literature and Public Policy and Law, with a concentration in Educational Policy, from Trinity College in Hartford, CT, where she also published her thesis, The Feminist Gothic Journeys of Shirley Jackson.
Previously, Grace taught middle school English Language Arts, leading classes of more than 25 students and supporting a caseload of 12 students with learning disabilities. Her work centers on fostering a love of reading and using data-driven instruction to design engaging curricula that close gaps in reading comprehension and literacy achievement.
Outside of her academic work, she tutors ELA and essay writing in Boston and sings with local choirs, including Chorus Pro Musica and the Harvard Radcliffe Chorus.
