# Research

The **BRIDGES Lab** focuses on developing and evaluating literacy interventions to improve text comprehension for students with, or at risk for, reading difficulties. This work is informed by several complementary lines of research that strengthen and guide intervention design, including research on understanding individual differences in literacy development, characterizing literacy instruction and implementation in practice, and synthesizing and translating prior intervention research. Together, these strands provide the empirical foundation for designing, refining, and evaluating effective literacy interventions. *Explore each line of research below!*
