Arden Woodall is a master’s student in the Human Development &amp; Education program with a concentration in Literacy &amp; Languages at HGSE. She holds her bachelor’s in English Education, Spanish, and Creative Writing from Purdue University, where her undergraduate research focused on integrating Critical Media Literacy into the ELA classroom. Her work can be found in the journal *Changing English*.

Previously, Arden taught honors 10th grade English Language Arts and English as a New Language to immigrant high school students in suburban Indiana. She also served as a Fulbrighter in Bogotá, Colombia teaching English as a New Language to pre-service teachers. Her current work at HGSE focuses on better understanding the language and literacy experiences of multilingual learners and newcomer students, with a particular focus on critical literacies and ethnic-racial identity.

Outside of her academic work, Arden enjoys volunteering her time as an application writing consultant and singing in the Harvard Radcliffe Choral Society.
